EY is one of the largest professional services networks in the world, providing assurance, tax, strategy, and consulting services across sectors. EY Slovenia’s Forensic & Integrity Services team supports organisations with forensic investigations, compliance advisory, and fraud prevention work.
For this engagement, the focus was on driving attendance for a series of live business breakfast events targeting senior decision-makers across the Slovenian market. These were high-value, limited-seat events, so filling them required direct, targeted outreach beyond EY’s existing network.
EY needed a structured and scalable way to generate warm leads around a series of live business breakfast events targeting senior decision-makers across Slovenia.
The challenge was not just getting people to register. EY needed a way to use these events as a commercial touchpoint, reaching relevant people outside its existing network and turning interest into conversations that could support future pipeline.
Each event targeted a different audience, which meant separate lists, separate messaging, and fast campaign execution. The outreach also had to feel credible and senior enough for professional audiences in banking, internal audit, healthcare, and change management.
Our goal was to help EY use live events as a repeatable lead generation channel by building targeted prospect lists and running personalised LinkedIn and email outreach for each audience segment.
The system needed to do more than fill seats. It had to bring in the right people, create warm leads for follow-up, and give EY clear visibility into which segments were converting most effectively.
We approached the engagement as a series of event-driven outreach campaigns designed to generate warm leads, not just registrations.
For each event, we built a targeted list of Slovenian decision-makers based on role, industry, and organisation type, then wrote Slovenian-language LinkedIn and email sequences that felt direct, relevant, and professional. Instead of generic event promotion, the outreach was positioned as a personal invitation tied to a specific business topic.
We also coordinated closely with EY before each launch to review list quality and exclude speakers, known clients, and off-target contacts.
This gave EY a repeatable system for turning live events into meaningful commercial conversations with senior audiences.
We built and managed LinkedIn and email outreach campaigns for four EY business breakfast events, each targeting a different senior audience in Slovenia.
Our work included:
building targeted prospect lists for internal auditors, banking executives, healthcare institution directors, and change management professionals
writing and refining Slovenian-language outreach sequences for each event
coordinating list quality with EY before launch to filter out speakers, known clients, and off-target contacts
running LinkedIn and email outreach across all four campaigns
tracking registrations and lead responses in shared spreadsheets so EY could follow up directly
delivering per-campaign reporting after each event
For the healthcare event, LinkedIn reach was naturally limited because medical professionals are underrepresented on LinkedIn in Slovenia. To compensate, EY extended outreach with direct email to general institutional contacts.
By combining targeted list building with personalised outreach, we helped EY turn a series of live events into a repeatable source of warm leads.
The four-campaign engagement generated 104 warm leads for EY across 4 live business breakfast events, turning targeted outreach into a repeatable source of pipeline.
From a total base of 443 targeted contacts, the campaigns delivered a 24.5% lead conversion rate, while LinkedIn connection acceptance averaged 62.3% across all four campaigns. The strongest result came from the banking event, which generated 42 warm leads from a base of 143 contacts.
More importantly, the project proved that live events could be used as a practical commercial channel, not just a branding activity. With the right outreach system behind them, EY was able to turn event invitations into real conversations with senior decision-makers.
Live events can generate real pipeline when they are supported by focused outreach, not just event promotion.
Targeted LinkedIn and email outreach helped EY bring senior decision-makers into the funnel as warm leads.
Different industries require different outreach logic, especially in a small market like Slovenia.
A repeatable campaign model made it possible to support multiple events without rebuilding the process each time.
Tracking lead conversion by audience segment made it easier to see which events created the most commercial value.
