SignalHire vs RocketReach 2026
TL;DR
SignalHire sells shared credits with unlimited users, from $39 a month billed yearly. RocketReach sells seats, from $399 a year, with unlimited in-app lookups on annual plans but a yearly export cap.
At matched volumes on annual billing, SignalHire's list price is lower in most of our scenarios: $468 vs $899 a year for 300 contacts with phones a month, and $684 vs $1,699 for 1,000 emails a month.
RocketReach wins on the smallest email-only volume ($399 vs $468), on in-app lookups and on extras such as intent data, technographics and Salesforce custom mapping.
Neither vendor offers refunds, and both publish accuracy claims without an independent audit. Test both on your own list first.
SignalHire and RocketReach both find emails and phone numbers for people you look up, but they charge in different ways. SignalHire charges one credit per contact from a pool any number of users can share. RocketReach charges per seat and counts lookups and exports separately. This comparison sets the two side by side on pricing, cost per contact at the same volumes, data, extension, integrations, API, compliance and user ratings, using each vendor's public pages as of 14 October 2026. For a quick summary of each, see our SignalHire and RocketReach tool profiles.
SignalHire vs RocketReach at a glance
The biggest difference is the pricing model. Everything else, from team cost to how "unlimited" works, follows from it.
Figure: SignalHire and RocketReach compared on pricing, data claims, integrations, API, refunds and ratings, 14 October 2026.
Pricing model: credits vs seats, lookups and exports
SignalHire has three paid plans: Emails, Phones and Emails & Phones. Each comes in two credit sizes at $49 or $69 a month, or $39 or $57 a month billed yearly:
Emails: 600 or 1,000 credits a month on monthly billing, or 7,200 or 12,000 a year on annual billing
Phones or Emails & Phones: 300 or 435 credits a month on monthly billing, or 3,600 or 5,400 a year on annual billing
Unlimited: $79 a month for emails or $99 for phones ($63 or $83 billed yearly), capped at 2,000 a month under fair use
Scale: sold by sales
One credit unlocks one contact, and only if SignalHire returns at least one email or phone. Users are unlimited and share the pool. Full detail is in our SignalHire pricing breakdown.

Figure: SignalHire pricing page on yearly billing, 14 October 2026.
RocketReach has three self-serve plans, priced per seat:
Essentials (email only): $69 a month for 100 lookups and exports, or $399 a year for unlimited lookups and 1,200 exports
Pro (email and phone): $119 a month for 250, or $899 a year for unlimited lookups and 3,600 exports
Ultimate (email and phone): $209 a month for 1,000, or $1,699 a year for unlimited lookups and 20,000 exports
Custom Team: pooled credits and higher limits, from $6K a year
A lookup reveals a contact inside RocketReach; an export takes it out to a file, a CRM or the API. On annual plans you can view as many contacts as you like in the app, within a fair use limit of 10,000 lookups per rolling 30 days, but each contact you move out uses an export. Full detail is in RocketReach pricing.

Cost per contact at matched volumes
To compare like with like, we priced the cheapest plan on each tool that covers the same monthly volume, on annual billing for one user, and divided by the contacts used. SignalHire comes out lower in most scenarios, by roughly 1.7 to 3.6 times. RocketReach is cheaper only at the smallest email-only volume.
Figure: yearly list price of the cheapest plan covering each monthly volume, annual billing, one user. GROU calculation from public pricing, 14 October 2026.
100 emails a month: SignalHire Emails 600 at $468 a year; RocketReach Essentials at $399
500 emails a month: SignalHire Emails 600 at $468; RocketReach Ultimate at $1,699
1,000 emails a month: SignalHire Emails 1,000 at $684; RocketReach Ultimate at $1,699
100 contacts with phones a month: SignalHire Emails & Phones 300 at $468; RocketReach Pro at $899
300 contacts with phones a month: SignalHire Emails & Phones 300 at $468; RocketReach Pro at $899
1,000 contacts with phones a month: SignalHire Emails & Phones Unlimited at $996; RocketReach Ultimate at $1,699
1,600 contacts with phones a month: SignalHire Emails & Phones Unlimited at $996; RocketReach Ultimate at $1,699
Three things move the result:
Email-only volume above 100 a month. RocketReach has no email-only plan above Essentials' 1,200 exports a year, so 500 emails a month already needs Ultimate. SignalHire's Emails plan covers 600 or 1,000 a month.
Teams. SignalHire has no seat fees. Three reps who each need 300 contacts with phones a month share one Emails & Phones Unlimited plan at $996 a year. On RocketReach that is three Pro seats at $854 each after the 5% multi-seat discount, or $2,562 a year, since credits only pool on Custom plans.
Working inside the app. If your team views contacts in RocketReach and copies them by hand rather than exporting, an annual RocketReach plan has no practical lookup limit below 10,000 a month. SignalHire charges a credit for every contact revealed.
On monthly billing the gap is similar: 100 contacts with phones a month costs $588 a year on SignalHire ($49 x 12) and $1,428 on RocketReach Pro ($119 x 12).
Data: what each vendor claims
Both vendors publish large numbers and neither publishes an independent audit.
SignalHire: 900M+ profiles and 30M+ companies, updated every 7 to 10 days; emails for up to 90% and phones for up to 80% of people; "95%+ email accuracy" with a 3 to 5% bounce rate, per its homepage.
RocketReach: 700 million professionals and 60 million companies, "verified on demand and in real time with 98% accuracy," per its pricing page. Its API FAQ adds that 87% of lookups return profiles and grades emails from A (about 98% deliverable) to F (invalid).
Both return personal and business emails and mobile or direct phone numbers. RocketReach lets you filter to only personal or only professional emails and charges only if that type is found. RocketReach Ultimate adds intent data and healthcare data; Pro and Ultimate add technographics. SignalHire focuses on contact details, with company data through its database and a Company API on request.
Both also charge only on results: SignalHire subtracts a credit only if an email or phone is returned, and RocketReach refunds a lookup if it cannot find and verify an email or phone. Whichever you choose, run emails through a verifier before you send; see the best email verification tools.
Extension, integrations and API
Browser extension: SignalHire works in Chrome and Firefox and shows 400,000 Chrome users and 5.0 from 626 ratings. RocketReach's Chrome extension shows 300,000 users and 3.3 from 459 ratings.
CRM and ATS sync: SignalHire includes 26 integrations in every paid plan. RocketReach includes HubSpot, Salesforce, Salesloft, Outreach and Bullhorn on Pro and Ultimate, and lists Zapier.
Sequencing: SignalHire sends email sequences from your own mailbox. RocketReach includes sequences, an AI email writer and Autopilot, with a limit of 500 emails a day.
API: SignalHire includes it in all paid plans on the same credits. RocketReach includes it in all plans, where 1 export equals 1 API credit.
Extension figures come from the SignalHire and RocketReach Chrome Web Store listings. SignalHire's integrations page leans towards recruiting ATS tools such as Zoho Recruit, JobAdder and Loxo, alongside Salesforce, HubSpot and Pipedrive. RocketReach's CRM integrations are not available on Essentials.
On the API, SignalHire's rate limits allow up to 100 profiles per request and 600 a minute on paid plans. RocketReach's rate limits scale with the plan, from 5,000 person lookups a month on Essentials to 50,000 on Ultimate, with a global cap of 10 requests a second. RocketReach also offers MCP access on every plan, for connecting its data to AI tools.
Compliance and terms
Both vendors put the compliance burden for your outreach on you.
SignalHire relies on legitimate interests, offers an opt-out form and states it is committed to GDPR. Its terms say that by accessing data "you are a Data Controller."
RocketReach has a Data Processing Addendum that forms part of its terms, relies on legitimate interests for people in its database and publishes CCPA request metrics in its privacy policy.
If you contact people in the EU with data from either tool, Article 14 of the GDPR requires you to tell them where you got their data, at the latest in your first message. Our GDPR cold email playbook covers how.
On money, both are strict. SignalHire's terms say "we do not offer any refunds." RocketReach's refund policy says payments are non-refundable once a subscription has started. Both renew automatically, so set a reminder before renewal.
User ratings
Capterra: SignalHire 4.3 from 35 reviews; RocketReach 4.1 from 140 reviews
G2: SignalHire 3.9 from 65 reviews (page); RocketReach 4.4 from 1,385 reviews (page)
Chrome Web Store: SignalHire 5.0 from 626 ratings; RocketReach 3.3 from 459 ratings
Trustpilot: SignalHire's rating is unavailable after fake reviews were removed; RocketReach 1.2 from 1,113 reviews
On Capterra, RocketReach scores 4.5 for ease of use, 3.7 for value for money and 3.9 for customer service; SignalHire scores 4.4, 4.3 and 4.1 on the same site. RocketReach has far more reviews on G2. On Trustpilot, RocketReach's review summary is dominated by unexpected annual renewals and refused refunds, while SignalHire's Trustpilot page shows no rating "due to a breach of our guidelines." For a closer look at SignalHire's reviews, see our SignalHire review.
Who should pick which

Mostly view contacts in the app or extension rather than exporting them
Want sequences, intent data, technographics or Salesforce custom mapping in the same tool
Need fewer than 100 email-only contacts a month on one seat
Plan to grow into a Custom plan with pooled credits
If neither fits, look at Lusha (our review), Kaspr or Apollo, or the wider list in the best email finder tools.

RocketReach's per-seat plans make sense if you work inside its app, need its sequencing, intent or Salesforce features, or only need a small email-only volume. Both are non-refundable, so start with the free credits and a month of the plan you choose.

Who should pick which
Figure: which tool fits which way of working, based on each vendor's published pricing, limits and features.
Pick SignalHire if you:
Have several people sharing one data budget
Need phone numbers at low or moderate volume
Export more than 100 emails a month
Push contacts into a recruiting ATS
Pick RocketReach if you:
Mostly view contacts in the app or extension rather than exporting them
Want sequences, intent data, technographics or Salesforce custom mapping in the same tool
Need fewer than 100 email-only contacts a month on one seat
Plan to grow into a Custom plan with pooled credits
If neither fits, look at Lusha (our review), Kaspr or Apollo, or the wider list in the best email finder tools.

Bottom line
SignalHire and RocketReach solve the same problem with different pricing logic. SignalHire's shared credits and no seat fees give it the lower list price per contact in most of our scenarios, especially for teams and for contacts with phone numbers. RocketReach's per-seat plans make sense if you work inside its app, need its sequencing, intent or Salesforce features, or only need a small email-only volume. Both are non-refundable, so start with the free credits and a month of the plan you choose.
